Student Assistant Sign Up

Student Coaches may receive volunteer service hours as needed for school or NHS, etc.  Hours may not count toward Falcon Service Hours unless permission is given. 

 

1.  You will be in the water with googles on.

2.  Set a good example - be attentive and focused on the lesson.  Follow the Coach's directions.

3.  You may be partnered with an athlete to help them stay focused or provide special assistance.

4.  Be specific in your directions.  (Do not say, "That's not how to do it."  Instead say, "Try to turn your head to the side to breathe, instead of lifting your head."  Then provide a demonstration.

5.  Ask permission before physical contact.  "Can I move your arm and show you the right movement?"

 

Remember, you are setting an example for the little ones.  Athletes who do not take this work seriously, will be dismissed and will not receive credit.
