SWIMMER’S CODE OF CONDUCT
I hereby pledge to live up to my responsibilities as a swimmer in the 2024 San Fernando Valley Catholic Swim
League by following the Swimmer’s Code of Conduct.
1. I will not argue or complain about the official’s decisions. I will be a role model of good sportsmanship
and conduct. I will be responsible to the coach and team.
2. I will swim for fun. I will do my best to make sure that everyone has fun. I will treat swimmers,
coaches, officials, administrators and the public with the respect that I would like for myself.
3. I will not use tobacco, alcohol, drugs, or inappropriate language at the meet.
4. I will make only positive and encouraging comments to all swimmers. I will control my temper.
5. I will always give my best effort.
6. All pre-meet warm-up must be under the coach’s supervision.
7. I will not take photos or video behind the starting area during the meet, and not use cell phones or any
type of camera in the bathrooms or shower areas.
8. I will not participate in bullying, harassment, or any negative or criticizing social media or texting.
I understand that the penalties for not adhering to this Code of Conduct may range from a verbal warning to
expulsion from the swim meet.

PARENT’S CODE OF CONDUCT
I hereby pledge to live up to my responsibilities as a Parent of a child participating in the 2024 San Fernando
Valley Catholic Swim League by following the Parent’s Code of Conduct.
1. I will place the emotional and physical well-being of the children above any personal desire to win.
2. I will be a role model of good sportsmanship and character. I will help my child meet his or her
responsibilities to the coach and team.
3. I will lead by example by demonstrating fair play. I will treat everyone with respect and do my best to
make sure that the swim meet is fun for all participants.
4. I will remember that I am a Catholic Swim Parent. I will provide a positive supportive attitude. I will
not argue with the referees, parents or coaches. I will make only positive and encouraging comments to
swimmers of all teams. I will not coach or interfere from the pool deck.
5. I will maintain a healthy, positive environment at the meet by refraining from the use of tobacco,
alcohol, drugs or inappropriate language at the meet.
6. I will not take photos or video behind the starting area during the swim meet, and not use cell phones or
any type of camera in the bathrooms or shower areas.
