About the Club
What is TC Falcon Swim Club?
TC Falcon Swim Club is an aquatics program built around minimal-effort, water-efficiency technique. The club serves everyone from high-performance competitive athletes to swimmers with special needs and goals, plus learn-to-swim programs for all ages. Beyond stroke mechanics, the club emphasizes developing well-rounded young people through positive feedback and goal-setting.
Who can join?
Programs are open to a wide range of ages and ability levels — from young learn-to-swim beginners through Masters swimmers age 18 and over. There's a group option for nearly every goal, from recreational fitness to competitive Club Team swimming.
Group Options
What swim groups are available?
The club offers several tracks:
- Learn to Swim / Swim School: Seasonal sessions (e.g., Spring Swim School); private lessons are also available.
- Club Team: Year-round Competitive and Conditioning options for ages 5–18, competing in USA Swimming, Southern California – Pacific Committee.
- Masters Swimming (18+): “Wise Owls” (US Masters, all ability levels) and “Charming Finches” (recreational, self-paced; must be water safe).
- St. Didacus Catholic Swim Team: Ages 5–14, practices August through early November with 4 swim meets. There is no need to attend St. Didacus school, but joining the parish (free) is required.
- Summer League: Mid-May through September. The registration fee includes a cap, team t-shirt, and meet fees for the Falcon Summer Swim Meet Series.
- Dolphin Group: Ocean swims and events, June–September, ages 11+. All registered members may join ocean swims for free.
Do you offer private lessons?
Yes — private lessons cover learn-to-swim and development training for children and adults, including those with special needs or specific goals. Lessons can be booked directly through the club's online scheduler.
Do you offer CPR training?
Yes. CPR training is available — please reach out to the club by email to request more information.
Registration
How do I register my athlete?
Visit falconswim.com and: (1) create an account, (2) set up your athlete(s) as members, and (3) register them for the appropriate group(s). Note: The system asks you to select a specific number of practices at registration, but athletes are welcome to attend all practices scheduled for their group.
Do we need to try out before registering?
Yes, for Competitive and Conditioning opportunities — a free tryout should be scheduled before registering. Swimmers transferring from another USA Swimming club team can skip the formal tryout and instead join a group practice; email the club office to arrange this.
Is there anything required beyond club registration?
Yes — once registered with the club, athletes must also register with USA Swimming or US Masters. This is an insurance requirement, and athletes cannot get in the water until it's complete.
Where can I find step-by-step registration help?
New Member, Existing Member, and USA Swimming registration guides are linked on the Registration Overview page of the site for step-by-step walkthroughs.
Club Information & Records
Where can I see club records or the swim group structure?
Both are posted under Club Information on the site: Club Records and a Swim Group Structure reference document.
Is there a team shop?
Yes — the Falcon Shop, plus partner storefronts through Arena SwimOutlet and Spectra Color for team gear and suits.
Safety
What is the club's approach to athlete safety?
The club takes Child Protection seriously and aims to be a safe, positive environment for every member. Full Safe Sport information is published on the site.
